Dr Wendy Booth’s main area of expertise is global citizenship, tolerance and ethnocultural empathy, and she has a keen interest in structural inequalities and life chances. Dr Wendy is currently a Research Fellow for the Co-POWeR project and Lecturer at the University of South Wales, as well as the Co-CEO of Sustainability Sphere, Managing Director of T-TEEMA, Education Consultant, and Children's Book Author. She has taught a range of subjects within the social sciences, from GCSE to post graduate modules, including sociology, social psychology, social policy, and academic and research skills. Our mission is to bring together our shared interests and areas of expertise to develop a range of easily accessible resources that can be used by both schools and home educators to teach about sustainable development and global citizenship. We plan to make the resources self explanatory so that minimal planning and preparation is required by teachers. Sustainable development covers a range of issues and we want to be part of the legacy that aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Katie Derradji-Brown's main area of expertise is teaching sustainable development and environmental issues. She is an experienced educator and is currently home schooling her five children. She has a Masters in Education (the focus of her dissertation was SDGs), and a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Psychology. Katie is the Co-CEO of
Katie Derradji-Brown's main area of expertise is teaching sustainable development and environmental issues. She is an experienced educator and is currently home schooling her five children. She has a Masters in Education (the focus of her dissertation was SDGs), and a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Psychology. Katie is the Co-CEO of Sustainability Sphere, and a Children's Book Author. Katie is passionate about sustainable development, especially climate change, water resources and plastic pollution. Her goal is to provide innovative resources using differentiation to make them suitable for a range of age groups. Katie has conducted research related to climate change and green issues, and the main focus of her dissertation is teaching about sustainability and the barriers that teachers face.
